The Heartland promise: Living well and being well cared for.

Call it true well-being. When it comes to a setting that encourages and facilitates good health, the Florida Heartland is just what the doctor ordered: Sunshine, clean air, low stress and lots of inviting recreational options where families can stay fit and have fun together. However, living well is only one part of the Heartland healthcare equation. Leading edge technology plus highly qualified healthcare professionals who are deeply committed to delivering the best personalized care—that’s also part of the Heartland promise, with providers such as:

  • Hardee County’s Florida Heartland Healthcare, now opening a new state-of-the-art facility in Wauchula and already a hub for a comprehensive range of general and specialized services.
  • Highlands Regional Medical Center and Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, with campuses in Sebring and Lake Placid, offering inpatient and outpatient services, and connecting patients to an extensive network of providers.
  • Glades County Health Department, the new $5 million LEEDS-Silver certified facility housing the Florida Community Health Centers, providing primary care and corporate health services. The new Glades County Emergency Operations Center provides emergency services, including EMS and fire, that allow for reduced insurance rates to businesses locating in the County’s Business and Commerce Park, and in America’s Gateway Logistics Center.
  • Florida State University College of Medicine and the University of Florida Family Nutrition Program, which both maintain a community presence in Immokalee, and co-sponsor the monthly Ciclovia Community Event, which closes the streets of Immokalee to vehicular traffic and opens them for families to walk, run, bike and be active together.
  • Raulerson Hospital, an HCA hospital serving Okeechobee County since 1979. This 100-bed acute-care facility, recognized by the Joint Commission as a Top Performer in Key Quality Measures for five years in a row, provides excellent care options ranging from occupational therapy to surgical services. The 24/7 Emergency Department sees an average of 30,000 patients annually.

Being well—and being well-cared for—open a world of satisfaction and opportunity.  Your professional and personal horizons are unbound with Heartland healthcare.
