A strong regional economic development partnership can provide regional services and programs designed to benefit each participating partner in their effort to improve their local economy as well as the regional economy as a whole. In partnership with local economic development organizations, workforce boards, and other key regional organizations, FHREDI continues to create a business environment which supports the operation of new and existing companies to maximize retention and expansion of the region’s job base.

The organization is successful in writing and obtaining grants to benefit the region’s businesses. FHREDI administered more than $5.5 million dollars in grants awarded to the region during the period 2004 to 2010.
